Is it Under or in the sun? How do you use talkative? How to pronounce monsignor, victuals, jeopardy and others.

Good morning KIB students.
I immensely appreciate your support to the growth of the blog.

Let's get down to brass tacks, shall we?

'Chosed' is not standard English. The past tense of 'choose'  is 'chose' and the past participle is 'chosen'.

I have talked about 'talkative'.  It seems a lot of people haven't  really understood its usage.

'Talkative' is an adjective and not a noun. It is wrong to say that someone is a talkative.

The girls in my class are talkatives. Well it is also wrong.
Angry is an adjective,  right?
The same way you cannot say he is an angry.  The same way you are not to say 'he is a talkative'

This,  in Linguistics,  makes what is known as syntactic noise.

Because angry and talkative are adjectives, they should be expressed like this.
He is angry
He is talkative

She is an angry lady
She is a talkative lady

If you are talkative , then you  can be a journalist.

Everyone on KIB is talkative,  right?  LOL.  Obviously we can talk the hind legs off a donkey. I like it that way.

We say 'take turns' not 'take turn'. E.g the cleaners took turns at cleaning  the living room.

Finally 'hardwork' is wrong. It is written as ' hard work'.

'Hard working' is wrong. It is written as 'hardworking'

Finally,  people go out in the sun,  not under the sun.  The sun here is usually the rays of the sun.

1.He is exercising in the sun.
2. Corp members will always march in the sun while they sing  'under the sun'

Finally on pronunciation,

Victuals is pronounced (vitlz)
Hostel is not pronounced /hoe-stell/
Is it pronounced as (hostl) /ˈhɒstl/

Jeopardy is pronounced as (jepadi)./ ˈdʒɛpədi/

Alright,  the class with King Ifey is done and dusted. I will be on the next flight to  Pakistan.

*walks off the class,  turns back to the class,  sighs,  and then goes to peep through the window*

Actually 'to talk the hind legs off a donkey' means  to talk so much in an exasperating way.

Those of you who are catholic faithfuls should stop pronouncing 'Monsignor' as  /monsainor/  is it  pronounced /(monSEEnyor) or (monseeNYORE)
/mɒnˈsiːnjə,ˌmɒnsiːˈnjɔː/

Take note
