Timaya's mum dances to his son's newest release: Joys of motherhood, chasing passion pays

Timaya – Asked what he has been doing the whole of today.  Well ,nothing serious.  He has been lounging in his salubrious suite... Luxuriating on his sofa sharing to us about how lazy his day has been

It was not just him that had a lazy day; Tuesday actually swept on to most people some lazy dusts that kept us locked up in bed...not laid up anyway but having an insightful  and meditative duvet day. Yes..  I am guilty of observing my own duvet day even though I haven't got a duvet..LOL... so, you can now sue me.  Duvet days work  well when you are Timaya of the now because Timaya of the past, never knew  a day to be lazy. I bet nothing around him was even allowed to be lazy.  If the  sun slacked a bit,  he was sure to hold it up and bid it to shine.

His guitar  was very handy.  He played around and serenaded people anywhere he went. He wasn't a lumbersexual back then, but right now, the hair on his chin is begging for at least a huge chunk of it to be lopped off.

His mother visited on Sunday to suckle her baby and feed her ears to her son's newest release. She didn't even get to freshen up and soon she was caught in the magic maze of  her son's captivating music. As you can see in the pictures, she danced in Grand style while her son danced and laughed  at his mother's  lovely old dance steps.Yes.. The joys of motherhood.

When her mates'children had gone abroad to study and Timaya had no tertiary education  to boast of except for the guitar he busked around with, hoping to feed himself.  And the mother prayed hard.

In the war between job security and passion, passion has triumphed once again. Now,they gather  every other day to do their triumphant dance; and last Sunday was that day again.

Little wonder Timaya seems so lazy to do anything the Tuesday after the dance.  You know.. He can lock himself up in the room for a week and still have money streaming into his life... He has done his homework  and has made it to the finish line.

As he did it with persistence and consistency,  you can achieve yours too. It is all in the heart..  Set your heart to it and you shall get there.

Finally. I hope we all make it to the finish line  during the doomsday.

the question is, will I be there?.... also, will you be there?
As we think of our various answers tot he question, lets have our daily toast.
A toast to good life ahead of the race.
Cheers!

Is it 'off head', 'off hand' 'off pat' or 'by heart'?

I love all the new students in my class. You guys are awesome by the way. 😀😀 Today. I want to give you a better expression for saying that 'you know something very well'. #Offhead? There is nothing like offhead. 'I know it off head' is wrong. #Offhand? What does offhand mean? It mean without previous thought or consideration. Just like saying 'on the spur of moment' , 'immediately', 'spontaneously'. So, do you just know something offhand? No...not at all. You can say something offhand, do anything offhand but then it seems weird to say ' I know the answer offhand'. It is normal 'to say the answer offhand'. Do you get my drift? People don't know anything spontaneously, rather, they  say what they already know, spontaneously. Now to the final expression #HaveSomethingOffPat? It means to know something or be able to do something perfectly; be perfect master of something . So rather tha...

Do you say 'talk more of' or 'talk less of'? Also, how to pronounce 'parliament'

My beautiful KIB students, today,  you will be happy learning the correct way to express yourselves. Nigerians have a way of changing typical English expressions to suit them. Someone still had to argue with me that the English expression 'Better the devil you know than the devil you don't "  is so wrong and does not make sense.  He opines that angel should be there.  He forgets that English can be quite illogical to our Nigerian minds. Lol. People say things like. 'He has not even proposed talk more of walking down the aisle with me' 'He does not have a car,  talk less a house" Well these two expressions or collocations are not common in British and American English. Here are the universal conventional English collocations for Nigerian English's  'Talk more of' and 'Talk less of',  #LetAlone 'Let alone' is  used to indicate that something is far less likely or suitable than something else already mentioned. E.g ...
