Korede Bello's Godwin's dance hits not just parties and clubs, but couples now dance the twist..LOL

Let us talk dance. Nigeria has been a goldmine for all kinds of dance. Immediately you start entertaining the thought that dance steps are completely exhausted from the skillful legs of the gifted , that is when you get to see a plethora of dance steps on all your gadgets... your TVs, your mobile phones, and even on the streets.

The other day, on the street of Lagos, Afariogun Street to the precise, I met a puppet master who made his puppet to display various dance steps: from Azonto to Shoki, and the puppet began trying one new dance step. I bet you are guessing the dance step already? It is none other than the GODWIN DANCE.

This dance is one of the weirdest dance I have ever seen to come out from  the dexterous skills of our artistes.  At first, you would think Korede Bello is not such a good dancer. I remember I watched the video with some  up and coming artiste and they went all the way censuring the dance from all sides. I even heard it(the Godwin dance) was not going to get anywhere.

Deep down within me, I just knew it would get to places and more so, notable personalities would soon dance the dance and twist the twist...LOL. Believe me, before I could sip my cup of coffee, I began seeing it in parties under the toes of little kids and it was fun to watch. Everybody was dancing side ways in a desperate bid to contort their waists to the point where Korede Bello could not have thought possible...LOL.

As though it was not enough, I even saw a wedding clip on his timeline on Instagram where a couple danced the Godwin dance. The groom aced it and killed it. it was such a wonderful  sight. If the wind were ever blowing through their course, his spread out hands would have let him fly off into the sky like a kite...LOL

Finally, at a talk show with some gorgeous ladies way over 35 were all trying out the easiest way to prove their flexibility..LOL. Well Korede Bello still beat them all to the contest.

Let me tell you something my dear esteemed reader.  Everything you  have is useful. A dance step that goes bad become a new and modified dance step. A key that goes off becomes a new way to harmonise a song. An experiment proven wrong mus have had some other parameters of it working right. Your weakness can in fact be your strength.

This is the era of being more innovative and less of  being second to someone, or wallowing under someone's  shadow. Stand up tall and take the mantle to chase your dreams. Someone out there will definitely appreciate you. Yes, you.  Luckily for Korede, he has been well appreciated for his ridiculously crazy  but charming and lovable dance..Godwin.

To all the dancers out there...more elbow grease. And I mean it literally. Apply some grease to your elbow and maybe...just maybe.. you might be on your way to winning Grammies after you must have stood the test that MJ withstood.

 Cheers!

How to use 'many a' and 'a great deal of' in a sentence. How to pronounce 'impasse'

Good morning KIB  earthlings. Lets get down to brass tacks. Let's look at the use of verbs. Yesterday someone brought a statement to me and enquired if it were correct. 'many a fellow knows the truth' Many a driver ploughs this road daily' 'Many a teacher doesn't know how to  English'. All these sentences are correct. According to Oxford dictionary, Many a: ( formal: always used with a singular noun and a singular verb) means a large number of something. E.g many a young person has experimented with drugs.   So,  don't pluralise anything in the sentence because there is an 'A' already. 'Many a teachers like to flog their students ' is wrong. 'A great deal' How do you use 'a great deal'? A great deal takes a singular verb. E.g A great deal of bananas is planted in the north. 'A great deal' takes a singular verb.  Finally,  the pronunciation of impasse is /'ampa:s/ Not (impas) It's not Enem

Is it 'off head', 'off hand' 'off pat' or 'by heart'?

I love all the new students in my class. You guys are awesome by the way. 😀😀 Today. I want to give you a better expression for saying that 'you know something very well'. #Offhead? There is nothing like offhead. 'I know it off head' is wrong. #Offhand? What does offhand mean? It mean without previous thought or consideration. Just like saying 'on the spur of moment' , 'immediately', 'spontaneously'. So, do you just know something offhand? No...not at all. You can say something offhand, do anything offhand but then it seems weird to say ' I know the answer offhand'. It is normal 'to say the answer offhand'. Do you get my drift? People don't know anything spontaneously, rather, they  say what they already know, spontaneously. Now to the final expression #HaveSomethingOffPat? It means to know something or be able to do something perfectly; be perfect master of something . So rather than say, I know it offha
