Ebonyi State Government to disburse N12.5bn for urban road reconstruction




Ebonyi state government said it would spend about 12.5 billion naira for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of 10 identified roads within the capital city of the state.

In an interview, the state Commissioner for Works, Engr Fidelis Nweze noted that the state government was desirous of rehabilitating all major roads and streets within the Abakaliki metropolis and beyond to ease traffic movement in the city.

He said that the first phase of the roads covers 200 kilometers and would be executed on direct labour basis.

The roads include: Gunning, Obiri, Nkaliki (leading to the state house of assembly), Udemezue, Udensi to Ebebe junction, Uzanna, new market, Ogoja etc.
