King Ifey's Review of Seyi Shey's Airbrush.

Alright, I have a big confession to make to the whole world.
I was set upon thorns and nails  for not EVER reviewing Seyi Shey's Airbrush...LOL.

I mean, my friends and devoted readers couldn't bear that fact. So, they rang me up to censure me badly for leaving that song somewhere forgotten in my backyard, perhaps, buried near a fruitless tree...LOL.

Guys I'm deeply sorry for that stupidly silly and inane  omission. *grins from ear to ear* 😁😁😁

So, Airbrush it is. I actually listened to the song for the first time yesterday, and I have to tell you, it is the best thing since sliced bread in Nigeria.

If it were not that Nigeria as a whole  has been irremediably charmed to exclusively connect with songs that are either meaningless with uptempo beat, butt-filled with fiery uptempo beat, or rife with sexual contents and STILL uptempo beat, this song would've unarguably topped all charts in Nigeria and Africa.

Lyrically, you can perfectly connect to it as you follow her through it word after word. She tells the story of a couple who  has reached the darkest part of their relationship, constantly trying to show the world that they are still pretty much happy in their relationship.

You can snap all the beautiful pictures with your partner on Instagram and Facebook, you can fool the whole world by making us imagine you and your spouse in Eden, but then, when the reality dawns on you, you just can't wish it away. In other words, you can't airbrush reality.

Now, Seyi Shey has always been my sweetheart. Her song 'Right Now' is not a song I will forget in a hurry. It is absolutely not a song Africa can forget in a hurry too. Even when these street and Club bangers infiltrate our hearts and it feels like they can stay there forever, they obviously don't anyway. They fade away months later when other trending bangers emerge to obliterate them...LOL.

With that said, let me remind you again that Seyi Shey's Right Now and Airbrush  can never tow that path because  there is something about her songs  having a certain level of relevance we just can't overlook.

The video is completely in sync with the lyrics. I loved the aura is exudes. She looked pretty much like Alicia Keys on this one. Simplicity meets creativity on this one. Your eyes will still be glued to this one with a knowing that the director really immersed himself in trying to illicit the right emotion from you.

Now, if you are a singer and you just haven't done the cover of Airbrush, then we have to investigate  properly to know if  you really are a singer...LOL.

Just hurry up now... go give us your rendition and make the whole world happy.

Finally,  "We're Living proof that you can't airbrush reality"... These are her exact words. I shall leave you with them. *whispers* Just think about the song.

How to use 'many a' and 'a great deal of' in a sentence. How to pronounce 'impasse'

Good morning KIB  earthlings. Lets get down to brass tacks. Let's look at the use of verbs. Yesterday someone brought a statement to me and enquired if it were correct. 'many a fellow knows the truth' Many a driver ploughs this road daily' 'Many a teacher doesn't know how to  English'. All these sentences are correct. According to Oxford dictionary, Many a: ( formal: always used with a singular noun and a singular verb) means a large number of something. E.g many a young person has experimented with drugs.   So,  don't pluralise anything in the sentence because there is an 'A' already. 'Many a teachers like to flog their students ' is wrong. 'A great deal' How do you use 'a great deal'? A great deal takes a singular verb. E.g A great deal of bananas is planted in the north. 'A great deal' takes a singular verb.  Finally,  the pronunciation of impasse is /'ampa:s/ Not (impas) It's not Enem

Is it 'off head', 'off hand' 'off pat' or 'by heart'?

I love all the new students in my class. You guys are awesome by the way. 😀😀 Today. I want to give you a better expression for saying that 'you know something very well'. #Offhead? There is nothing like offhead. 'I know it off head' is wrong. #Offhand? What does offhand mean? It mean without previous thought or consideration. Just like saying 'on the spur of moment' , 'immediately', 'spontaneously'. So, do you just know something offhand? No...not at all. You can say something offhand, do anything offhand but then it seems weird to say ' I know the answer offhand'. It is normal 'to say the answer offhand'. Do you get my drift? People don't know anything spontaneously, rather, they  say what they already know, spontaneously. Now to the final expression #HaveSomethingOffPat? It means to know something or be able to do something perfectly; be perfect master of something . So rather than say, I know it offha
