Let us look at these expressions.

1.The devil you know is better than the angel you don't know.

2. The angel you know is better than the angel you don't know.

3.Better the devil you know, than the angel you don't

All these expressions are wrong. The right thing to say is

4. Better the devil you know ( than the devil you don't).
