The Difference between Mothering Sunday and Mothers' Day

Mothering Sunday?
Is that even a correct  expression?
Yes it is.

Mothering Sunday is meant to be celebrated on the laetare Sunday which is the 4th Sunday in Lent. It was basically meant for the celebration of the mother church. The church where one was born.

Family members gather together and attend church servuce  with bouquets given to their mothers.  Orthodox churches usually celebrate mother's day on the day  called Mothering Sunday. Mostly Many countries in Europe celebrate that Mothers' day on the 4th Sunday of Lent which is most appropriately called Mothering Sunday.

Americans celebrate a secular  version on May 14th...this one is called Mothers' Day.
