Her Squashed Fantasy.

There were times

Times when you thought

You knew him,

Times when you

Didn't realise the viper

You lived with,

Times when it was 

All spring for you

And your flowers flourished

In the air emitting

 Sweet scents of nuptial joy

You were happy.

You had your time,

Yes you had your time.

When the beehive dropped honey

And you savoured it 

With your eyes shut in ecstasy

And butterflies frolicked 

In your tummy.

Oh it was a time,

A time you wish you never had.

But it's gone.

It hit rock bottom

And the shards spread 

Everywhere.

This beautiful fantasy 

He squashed the minute

He banged the door on you

And left you in this

Wasteland of broken-hearted souls.

Your life was made a mess.

Crystals and petals and pearls

You knew when you had them

Now they've slipped 

Right through you.

You begged to be set free

But home has shackled 

You to that wasteland

Of broken souls.

Windows, mirrors, bottles

 All flying in the air.

Gory images, 

Blood slips through your vein.

You had your time

Oh you had your time.

You broke down to tears

And you wipe the tears away.

The tears that you cry

Doesn't really matter.

It has never saved you.

I long to see

I long to see you come around.

Stronger, feeling inspired

And taking control of your life.
