:(æ) and (ɑ:) difference in American and British English: Video Lesson

Thanks to those of you who subscribed directly to my YouTube channel. I really appreciate.
So, without wasting time, lets get down to brass tacks guys.
by the way, if that friend of yours who really want to learn isn't  on this platform, please be a good buddy and do well to invite them to come learn  here.

Today, I want to elaborate on the  differences between American and British English as regards to these two vowel sounds..(æ) and (ɑ:)...  There are words in which these  vowels are in free variation. you can substitute one for the other.

Anyway,  the variations occur in space.... British persons would usually use  (ɑ:) whereas American persons would use (æ) .

So now lets go over to my online tutorial.... funny how that sounds to me...LOL. Online tutorials indeed. anyway guys here are the words we will be pronouncing  in this video clip.

list of words: after, afternoon, path, past, cast, fast, plant, can't, aunt, bask, ask, casket, castle, gasp, basket, grant, grasp, last, mast, vast, laugh, staff, nasty, rascal.
So, have great fun learning with me.
