Christianity and Islam are not indigenously African

Biko... my people, Are Christianity and Islam our indigenous culture? Sometimes when I read some Facebook posts, I see elements of subtle illiteracy littered here and there.

Appreciating Nigerians Slangy Words by Ebuka Micheals. :EVERYDAY PEOPLE

Appreciating Nigerian Slangy words   This beautiful country has had a number of slangy words added to its Pidgin English making our expressions richer than some languages; although I think we are yet to hold a candle to English language, where new words seem to flourish just as a gravid frog dispenses its millions of tadpoles. Nevertheless, the country has made a huge mark in the contribution of slangy words which are being used by two-third of West Africans. Come to think of it, two-third of West Africans is probably Nigerians. Well, that’s a whole lot to me. When formality meets fun, a word is born. It begins to grow and spread faster than wild fire can engulf the thick forest of the tropical California, when popular politicians and celebrities use it publicly. Considering the fact that our major leaders have a knack for introducing these words to us, I wouldn’t be surprised if Queen Elizabeth uses the expression ‘there is God oo’ as a means to express her utter sad...

STOPPING FAMILY INTERFERENCE IN MARRIAGE. :EVERYDAY PEOPLE

STOPPING FAMILY INTERFERENCE IN MARRIAGE  I attended church this morning and I heard a very touching sermon about how married ladies are being treated by their husband's family. it is very disheartening why such thing happens. She equally becomes a hand towel which gets used on hands which have been made filthy from all sort of work; and you, the husband, are going to sit there  and watch yourself get tossed around and flung up and high into the atmosphere, coming back to land  with no supple cushion to give you the respite  much needed. I may not be the best person to admonish people on this issue, so I would like to admonish me personally. And here goes...

EVERYDAY PEOPLE: Nkem by Kelvin Kio

Nkem Tell me why do things have to change when they were perfect from the start...? Why do we have to lose everything that we have always been holding onto, after everything that we've been through together..? I kept thinking that this loneliness, this sadness, this.. emptiness would be gone if I kept you by my side. But now, I realize that even though something is near you.. they feel.. distant. Was it because I was forcing them to continue staying by my side? Was it because.. because you don't feel the way I wanted you to? Was it because.. was it because I was too selfish to realize what you truly felt? Was it because.. I was always focusing on my feelings, that I didn't even have the time to consider what YOU felt? Or was it because.. you saw right through me..? I thought that this love was our destiny. I thought that you would always stay by my side because.. I felt something connect between us when we first met.. All I ever wanted for us to be hap...
