Appreciating Nigerian Slangy words   This beautiful country has had a number of slangy words added to its Pidgin English making our expressions richer than some languages; although I think we are yet to hold a candle to English language, where new words seem to flourish just as a gravid frog dispenses its millions of tadpoles. Nevertheless, the country has made a huge mark in the contribution of slangy words which are being used by two-third of West Africans. Come to think of it, two-third of West Africans is probably Nigerians. Well, that’s a whole lot to me. When formality meets fun, a word is born. It begins to grow and spread faster than wild fire can engulf the thick forest of the tropical California, when popular politicians and celebrities use it publicly. Considering the fact that our major leaders have a knack for introducing these words to us, I wouldn’t be surprised if Queen Elizabeth uses the expression ‘there is God oo’ as a means to express her utter sad...

STOPPING FAMILY INTERFERENCE IN MARRIAGE  I attended church this morning and I heard a very touching sermon about how married ladies are being treated by their husband's family. it is very disheartening why such thing happens. I am not married yet, but then I don't really want to envisage the possibility of something like that happening- a situation where one's better-half can't find her place in one's family. The woman  finally becomes a foot mat where every leg gets cleaned before they enter your family. She equally becomes a hand towel which gets used on hands which have been made filthy from all sort of work; and you, the husband, are going to sit there  and watch yourself get tossed around and flung up and high into the atmosphere, coming back to land  with no supple cushion to give you the respite  much needed. I may not be the best person to admonish people on this issue, so I would like to admonish me personally. And here goes...

              OUR DEAR NIGERIAN TREKAHOLICS , WHEN WILL IT END? Hasheem Suleiman has set the pace for Nigerians to take on this new madness of trekking insanely long distances to greet or commend politicians. Many Nigerians have actually taken up this act of trekking, thereby making it to trend far more than other important issues bothering us. Hajiya Talatu decided to trek from Kaduna to Abuja in honour of the president elect and it was deemed necessary to be classified as a breaking news.   The Jigawian man, Muhammad Auwal, just concluded his own trek from Hadejia to Dutse just to congratulate the governor. Only God knows how charred that umbrella could have got from the scorching heat of the Saharan sun.   Anyway, he grabbed the respite much awaited for when he finally met the governor. Everything, I mean every single thing all boils down to a suit: the top and the pair of trousers. So we can barely go entirely crazy as we might want to. Ladies Mad Dressings of Met Gala 2015 Finally,the 2015 met gala breezed in so fast but still has also left a long lasting impression. If you didn’t know about Met Gala, I have got some tips for you. Met Gala is purely an avenue for celebrities to display their creativity in designs and also their madness, that’s only if it is affordable for you..
