I saw this on  late night news at 10 on ChannelsTV. Incase you haven't heard of it, read it below VANGUARD---A man, wife and their eldest son were, yesterday, crushed to death in an accident involving their ash-coloure d Toyota Camry and a container-bearing truck at Agu Awka end of Enugu-Onitsha expressway. At press time, the wrecked remains of the family’s car were still beneath the truck, with many sympathizers wailing and cursing the truck driver. The family’s six-month-old baby boy, his four-year-old brother and seven-year-old sister, who survived, were in very critical condition and are receiving treatment at the Regina Caeli Hospital, Awka. Veteran Nollywood actor Sir Ozor Akubueze died in Enugu on Friday July 10 after a longtime battle with pancreas disease. He was in his 70s. He featured in several Nollywood movies that were shot in Enugu. May his soul rest in peace..amen.

L AGOS — Tragedy struck, yesterday, at Irawe area of Ojo, Lagos State, after a canoe conveying 14 schoolchildren capsized. Six children reportedly drowned, while eight others, including the driver, were rescued. The incident occurred after a fibre canoe reportedly ran into the passenger boat at about 9 a.m. At press time, the rescued children , some of whom were said to be primary school pupils and secondary school students, were responding to treatment at Igando General Hospital. However, three of them said to have swam their way to safety, were discharged from the hospital at about 5p.m. Officials of Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, who were contacted, reportedly stormed the scene to commence rescue operation. However, at 7p.m., the bodies of the six missing children, suspected to have drowned, were yet to be found. Seriously, this is very deplorable . Some days ago it was on the news that  the missing ex-FUTA VC was found dead ... These two men , who the strangled   ex-V.C had employed to work for him, connived and plotted evil against him. The poor V.C  of  FUTA ended up losing his life through the process. The two men have, in fact, confessed to strangulating the man.  the driver, in is story, said he  was given the boots some months ago  by the V.C. I guess it didn't really go down pretty well with him; making him to harbour some sinister motives against the poor v.c. His accomplice, who was the gate man and the security guard— and I really must say, it is indeed an irony that  someone's security guard ended up killing him. can you imagine that? A former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA, Prof Albert Ilemobade, who was declared missing last Monday June 22nd has been found dead. His decomposed body was found inside a store at his residence in the Ijapo area of Akure,the Ondo state capital. The driver and security guard of the academician were last week arrested in Ogun state while trying to sell off his car. The suspects confessed during interrogation that the SUV belonged to their boss and that they had murdered him. The remains of the ex Vice University has been deposited in a mortuary.
