I don't think I have introduced a mainstream Nigerian song from an Up and Coming artiste. Okay,  here it is. Story by Slinkee Ice,  a Port Harcourt based artiste. The production reeks of professionalism and the melody is so uncomplicated . Slinkee Ice is quite passionate  when he sings. . So,  I present him to you. You obviously know I wouldn't invite you to listen to a poorly produced song or an awful singer. This is the Afro-pop mainstream rhythm. Afro beat?  Christian lyrics? This is so much fun. Here is Gift Bank's new single titled Wonder. It has massive pastiches of Fela's Afro vibes. It will make you feel as though Fela were singing  to God. Those guitars tunes are so reminiscent of the 80s Fela vibes.  Talk about the back up singers Well,  they did a pretty good job. Gather around guys. I am still being stunned at how good music keeps gravitating towards me. Port Harcourt city may have been  over-glamorised,  but the creativity found in  her dwellers are beginning to seem incomparable. I may not be an ardent listener of rap music,   but heck I know good music when I see one. Bones by Degoldberg is a Christian rap song that will spur your adrenaline to do something great and spontaneous  for God. Here is the thrilling part of the song. I really can't keep it to myself. It started off with that 'Rolling in the Deep' kind of feel to it, and then  the powerful voice of Degoldberg  melded with it. It is a testosterone and spirit filled rap song which beckons on  dry bones to rise again. It gets even more emotional as the classical feel of the song becomes even more prominent  close  to the end of the song. You can only imagine how God is supernaturally waking dry bones and instant...

I was stuck in  traffic listening to Traffic by Tchella. It was the most sensible thing to do at that moment. I needed to calm my nerves and avoid  words being hauled  from drivers trying to meander through the massive Port Harcourt gridlock. Headset plugged and I revelled in  the beauty of the sound I heard. It was simple and adorable.  Dexterously woven  melodies, beautiful acoustics, one of the best lyrics that has ever happened to Nigerian music  since Airbrush by Sheyi Shay LOL.  Believe me. If you love Sam smith,  Adele,  Mike Posner,  James Bond blunt, Nonso Amadi,  Bez and Timi Dakolo then you MUST love Tchella. Nigerian youths aren't trying to follow the band wagon.  Everyone is trying to  be unique. An 18 year old girl from Benue State , studying Industrial Biology at Benue State University, Shime Ahua, has just released her first song titled 'You and Me". She is the daughter of a pastor. Ucee Nwachukwu is a vibrant gospel artiste in Nigeria and he has released a new song for your listening pleasure called 'Everlasting love' It is a song that ministers to us about the Everlasting love of God. It was dexterously rendered  with a dramatic and powerful tenor that has this beautiful growl to its texture. The emotions built up in the song can easily overwhelm you. The production is quite good. The first time I listened to this song, I actually didn't know what to expect. Cece kings already looks beautiful and I wondered if her voice could sound beautiful as well. More importantly, I wondered if the producer did a good job. Then I press play and symphonies began to waft through. 'It is just starting' I said to myself. Then, I relaxed to savour the song. Then I was weak, then I felt goose pimples, then my eyes began to well up . I wasn't too sure if it was  the simple lyrics or her voice and the modulations she had to conquer as she sang into the soprano's stratosphere. It was magic. I choose to review songs I like whenever I want. Some day,  you might read my review of old classics... Sure,  that's how crazy I can get...LOL

When the angels sing 'Glory and Honour', our heavenly father luxuriates in that atmosphere. He radiates peace, joy and healing from within.  Another song of the angels has finally hit the earth and I promise you guys.  It is the type of song that you can easily get besotted with.  No doubt,  the song came with heavy anointing, with the lyrics being a perfect fusion of English and Akwaibom.  It is a song of worship perfectly woven in a way that can minister to your heart and thrill your ears with  mellifluous sounds.  McEver has a knack of singing in that stratosphere where the Holy spirit is awaken and the heart is pierced. The voice is powerful, and inclined to performing heartfelt mellisma. SPkeys  did a great job at rendering the song with the best of strings and percussion. This song is simply divine. She is the real prim and proper girl of musicville, Nigeria, the quintessence of our African essence. Just one look and you are dazzled by the afrobeauty she represents.  I'd like like  to call her the contemporary Onyeka Onwenu. All of Onyeka's mannerisms are finding more expressions in this young talented lady.
